My whole life I have been obsessed with soccer, but in the summer of 2024 I found an appreciation for a new sport… BASEBALL. For those who don’t know, I used to work for the Chattanooga Red Wolves Soccer Club before leaving in February 2024 to start a new position with T & T Produce as their full-time Marketing & Social Media Manager. However, I wanted to stay connected to sports and soon found a way to do just that. In April of 2024, I was given the opportunity to join the Promotions Team for the Chattanooga Lookouts, a Minor League baseball team for the Double-A affiliate Cincinnati Reds.
Let me give you a brief insight into Chattanooga’s MiLB team! The Chattanooga Lookouts, founded in 1885, play in the North Division of the Southern League which consists of the Chattanooga Lookouts, Birmingham Barons, Rocket City Trash Pandas, and the Tennessee Smokies. Their other competitors, who play in the South Division, consist of the Biloxi Shuckers, Mississippi Braves, Montgomery Biscuits, and the Pensacola Blue Wahoos. In 2000, the Lookouts relocated from historic Engel Stadium to AT&T Field located on the riverfront. However, in July 2024, the Chattanooga Lookouts broke ground on a brand new multi-purpose stadium, to be named Erlanger Park. It is located in the South Broad Street area and can be seen from I-24 as it runs along Nickajack Lake. The organization began operations at Erlanger Park at the beginning of the 2026 season and is about to enter their third homestand at the new ballpark! The Lookouts have been affiliated with many MLB teams throughout the years including the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Minnesota Twins, but they have been with the Cincinnati Reds since 2019.
Okay back to “Promo Team. Best Team” 😊 I am in my third season as a member of the Promotions Team for the Chattanooga Lookouts. You can find us at each home game wearing green Great Clips shirts and entertaining the crowd or helping guests at the guest services booth! We participate in pre-game entertainment and promotional giveaways, execute in-between inning game activities, and assist in leading the crowd in cheers. We are responsible for making sure all guests have a great experience at the ballpark, both during the game and in between innings! We also help run the guest services booth where we answer any questions guests may have and handle cash exchanges for gift cards.

Take a look at one of our in-between inning games called Let’s Make a Deal. The contestant gets to choose between a prize inside the mystery case or a prize they can see! Most contestants choose the case, but if you are ever unsure, just ask the crowd for advice :)
If you are looking for a summer job, a sports-related job to get your foot in the door, or just a part-time job to make extra money, joining the game-day staff for the Chattanooga Lookouts is the perfect place to start. If the Promo Team isn’t for you, you can also work in concessions, tickets, as a bat boy/girl, an usher, or even a bartender! Fans are guaranteed to have a good time at the ballpark where they can participate in theme nights, enjoy a post-game firework show, Catch on the Field, and Kids Run the Bases after every Sunday game. We hope to see you at Erlanger Park in the next home stand ❤️
